Catalyst Wire Dossier (“Dossier”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Catalyst Wire. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it across the dossier.catalystwire.org website and the Catalyst Wire Dossier mobile apps. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service, and we do not sell your personal data.

What we collect

Website (dossier.catalystwire.org)

  • Account data — if you create an account: your email address and a securely hashed password.
  • Subscription data — if you subscribe (Plus/Pro): your plan tier and billing status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • Alerts & newsletter — the diseases you subscribe to for email alerts, your newsletter opt-in, and the status plus opaque provider references for the one-time newsletter verification payment. Stripe processes the card; we never receive or store card details.
  • Basic logs — standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page) for security and reliability.
  • Usage analytics — first-party, cookieless funnel counts (which page, the referring site, and your plan tier) so we can see how the site is used. No IP address and nothing identifying you is stored on these analytics records, and they are never shared with third parties.

Mobile apps (Android)

  • No account or login. The app works anonymously.
  • Purchase data — if you subscribe to Plus, RevenueCat manages the purchase and gives the app an anonymous user ID used to unlock your subscription. We store only that anonymous ID and your tier.
  • Advertising (Free tier only) — we show ads via Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising identifier. Plus removes ads.
  • Content requests — the app fetches drug and disease information from our API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

How we use it

To provide the service: authenticate you (web), unlock subscriptions, send the alerts and newsletter you opted into, process payments, show ads to free users, and keep the service secure and reliable.

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Dossier, and only so they can perform their service:

The information shown in Dossier

Drug, disease, and regulatory content is drawn from public sources (openFDA, ClinicalTrials.gov, and the European Medicines Agency) and condensed into plain language by automated tools. It is informational only and is not medical advice.

Your choices & data deletion

  • Website account — delete it anytime from your Account page, or email us (below); we remove your account, email, and subscription records.
  • Mobile — the app stores no personal identity. Clear local data by uninstalling or clearing app storage. To delete the subscription record tied to your anonymous ID, see our account & data deletion page.
  • Newsletter / alerts — unsubscribe from any email or from your account page.
  • Ad personalization — reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

Children

Dossier is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above whenever this policy changes.
